God, out of love for his son Jesus and the penalty he paid on the cross, demonstrates grace to the believing person. Just as David sought out Jonathan’s son, God seeks each of us: people who are spiritually disabled, apathetic, hiding from God, successful, broken, or just floating through life. He waits excitedly to restore, to bless, to see our faces as we realize the unbelievable gift he has waiting for us.

Becoming a Follower of Jesus Christ

Being a follower of Christ is the ultimate goal for our lives on earth. What does it mean to be a follower of Christ? What does following Jesus look like for our lives in the year 2008?

In Mark 1, Jesus asks Simon and Andrew to leave their nets and "Come, follow me." Their response - they left immediately and followed Jesus. Is this how Jesus calls us today?

For five weeks, we will study and understand what being a follower of Jesus means. Our study guide will be the Bible and certain sections of The Purpose Driven Life.
